Key Capital advised Centaur management on their transaction with Waystone Group
Key Capital is delighted to have worked with the Centaur management team on their agreement to become part of the Waystone Group. The combined businesses will create a truly international Irish financial services firm. This transaction follows on from Key Capital’s role in advising the team on the investment in Centaur by FTV Capital in 2020.
Centaur was established in Dublin in 2009 by founding partners Ronan Daly, Karen Malone, and Eric Bertrand. Headquartered in Ireland and with offices in the USA, Canada, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands, Luxembourg and the UK, Centaur employs over 220 staff and provides fund administration and fiduciary services to over 120 client groups across the globe who manage in excess of $200bn.
This landmark transaction further strengthens our market leading position in advising Irish financial services businesses on their M&A. It further highlights Key Capital’s track record in advising management teams on how to navigate private equity transactions.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval.
"We are delighted to be joining forces with Waystone. The combination of Centaur and Waystone will provide our clients with a broad, complementary array of services and will present tremendous opportunities for our staff across all locations. All of the Centaur team will be staying with the business and we look forward to our next stage of growth. It was great to work again with Key Capital, we really appreciate their advice and support and their experience of similar deals really helped us as a management team."Ronan Daly, Founding Partner at Centaur
